More than a scholarship

In 2025, over 80% (1,200+) of graduate Juno members with no current income and no cosigner qualified for at least one private loan option through Juno. If you do have access to a creditworthy cosigner, adding one may still reduce your interest rate.

Automatic Residency Deferment

Automatic residency deferment with a healthcare-focused lender is offered in our marketplace to provide $25 per month loan payments during residency and automated residency deferment options for specific programs.1

How does this compare to federal loans?

Dental students should weigh a few key factors when comparing federal and private loans. Federal loans include borrower protections such as income-driven repayment plans like the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP), and borrowers may be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) if they work full-time at a qualifying nonprofit or government employer and meet all program requirements.

Note: For students beginning dental programs after July 1, 2026, Grad PLUS loans will no longer be available, and Federal Direct Unsubsidized loans will be capped at $50,000 per year. Read more here
